Day 1

Ok so it is now 7:35 Houston time which means it is 2:35 Budapest time. I am doing pretty well adjusting to the time. The thing that stinks is the sun comes up at around 5 in the morning, so I woke up at 6. I was so ready to get up then for some reason. Maybe it will truly hit me tomorrow... So, yesterday's blog was alittle off, my apologies. Let me give you some more info about what happened yesterday. FYI- spell check isn't working so my spelling is alittle interesting...
So we flew Luftansa (sp) to Frankfurt. The flight to Frankfurt was interesting.. We had a total of 5 babies in just our area of the plane so it was ALWAYS busy. We encountered some bad weather about half way through the flight, so it was pretty bumpy. When we arrived in Frankfurt we immediatly sat at a Mc Cafe and grabbed some German coffee. We arrived around 8:30 and our flight was suppose to leave at 12:30 so we spent the rest of the time walking about the airport. My friend Kelly and I found a fun shop that had some cool German postcards so I picked up some. Then we saw this Chanel counter and this lady really wanted to give us makeovers (hm.. I wonder why.. we looked AWFUL). Afterwards, we looked super cute, with nice makeup, FOR FREE! When we boarded our flight, they warned us that our lunch was not going to be good because our airlines is on strike. Lets just say that I missed lunch because I was sleeping so I missed it, I heard it was 'questionable'. So fastfowarding...when we got to Budapest we realized that we lost a trunk, so hopefully we will get it back~ When we left the airport we went straight to the house that we are staying at. It is so cute! The girls sleep on the third floor that has a loft and the guys stay on the bottom floor. The only thing is there is no airconditioning. There are times during the day that it gets alittle uncomfie, but not Houston uncomfie. Last night we also went to the base to see how the construction looks, it is slowly starting to look like a ministry center. After that we came back to house, and Rosie had a fantastic Hungarian spegetti dinner ready for us to eat! IT WAS SO FREAKING GOOD! After that I got on facebook and loaded pics and then went to sleep at 11. Ok, so I realized that I just told you EXACTLY what I did.
Now let me tell you what I have done today. Woke up early, like I said, and ate some yummy cereal and had some tea. We then met as a group and Jarrod led a devotional, it ROCKED! It talked about how not to lose hope. It was so encouraging. I mentioned to the group that I felt that God wanted me to come back because of the fact that I suffer from depression and the suicide rate here is very high. I felt that God was wanting me to talk to people, to tell them that there is hope! Then we had a big prayer session, where a friend of mine told me that a good friend of his found out that her mom has cancer. Wow, cancer. Then David told me that he lost his mom when he was 12 and I told him that both of my parents have had/have cancer. I think that we are going to bond. Then Rosie and I went grocery shopping! It was really exciting! Then it was lunch time! We had bbq which is hot dogs and hamburgers (no brisket), and it was good! And now, I am writing in my blog. It has been a good day! Tonight we are going to go to the coffeehouse and hang out. It is going to be a long night so I am going to take a nap. Talk to y'all soon! For some reason, I can't add pics so I will give you a link to my facebook page.

In Christ,
Lindsey <><
